These are the two most basic paths to include: 99% of all problems can be traced back to incorrect file paths. The key to using the AML is to understand the file folder paths where everything XCOM2 related lives on your computer. The AML is almost required for playing modded XCOM2, there is really no reason not to use it. -regenrateinis - Don't use this setting it breaks everything when used incorrectly. -review - switches off the debug shell screen and present the player with the final shell screen by default. They are really for mod authors and testers. -noRedScreens - stops the game from throwing Red Screen errors (these are errors that do not necessarily break the game, and can mostly be ignored by the player. -autodebug - seems to help reduce crashes in some cases, not 100% what it actually does in this instance. -log - generates the launch log in a pop up window if you want to monitor the game's progress in a separate window. -allowconsole - allows the use of console commands. These are some useful modifications to the launch parameters of XCOM2: Make sure that you add this path to the AML (See Below) Some other mods may asked to be installed here. The mod's folder is the last number in the Steam link to the mod, for example the config files for are located in SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\1293725945 SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\xxxxxxx - Mods that you subscribe to on Steam are located here. Mods make changes to these files through ini file edits located in their own config folders. My Documents\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame - this is the folder where XCOM 2 pulls all of its configuration to run the game, it also saves your configuration profile, savegame data, photobooth, and character pools. Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame - this is the Default game folder, unless you know what you are doing don't touch this. Clearly there will be some info that is not applicable but it should still a good place to start. It is still mostly applicable, although as the mod progresses many things will likely be re-balanced/changed. The information below is based on vanilla XCOM2 WotC and Long War 2.
